Little Gym

Trey had his end of the season Little Gym show last week.
He did a great job and loved having lots of spectators watching him.

Mr. Goop

The first snow of 2011 was a big hit at our house...well at least for Trey and I. Poor Robb was not such a fan, but in his defense he did not have the appropriate outerwear for the event. He loved looking at it, and even walking in it (look at his happy face in picture #1 below) until he fell down. By the time he stood back up he was soaked, cold, and not at all enjoying himself (picture #3). We quickly went back in the house for our first round of drying clothes and hot chocolate.

While Robb was down for his nap, Trey and I went outside to try again. Big success!!!! Trey loved being out in the snow, in fact he did not even want to come back in when I was way, way cold. We threw snowballs, made snow angels, and had a great time being silly in the snow. We also made a snowman, and to let the truth be told it was really my first attempt to be the main person building a snowman. But since Will was out of town on business, it was my time to step up and help Trey build our snowman. Trey named him Mr. Goop, and I think he turned out pretty cute.
PS-Yes, he is wearing latex gloves. They are over his actual gloves that are not water proof. As I said earlier we do not have appropriate outerwear for snow:) It was Gee's idea, and it worked!!!!

Closing Out a Great Year

We closed out 2010 at Horseshoe Lake with various family members. It was restful and fun. We spent a couple of hours at Bruce's hunting camp. What a great couple of days away...a great way to finish a great year. Here's to 2011!!!!

pointing out some interesting thing that was shot or trapped at the camp

Angels

I have always thought to myself while holding an infant it is as if you are looking at an angel. They are so beautiful, so innocent...just angelic.

Our family is blessed with 10 of these little angels. While I cannot actually hold most of these angels in my arms and rock them to sleep anymore, I know a part of me will always remember them like that. Here they are my angels on Christmas at Gee and Poppy's house...

Here's the best attempt of the group, angel shot. Clearly this should have been taken at the beginning of the day, not at the end. It's hard to be angelic all the time:)

...and there is another angel joining the clan in March

Christmas with Family

We could not make it to church on Christmas Eve as planned due to poor Robb's tummy. While we did not have the opportunity to celebrate with traditional worship, we were able to glorify God by rejoicing with family. It was a wonderful day (plus night before at Momo's) filled with lots of smiles, lots of laughing, and lots of love.

Christmas with Friends

I was terrible about taking pictures during the holiday season. Looking through them now, I am so disappointed I did not do a better job documenting this glorious time of the year. It seems that I was particularly lacking with pictures of gatherings and outings with friends. We are blessed with wonderful friends. I love you all dearly.

Now and Then

Let me set the scene...

September 1994, MUS Victory Dance

There is a girl dressed in her finest, Harolds attire and a boy complete with a well-worn Steelers hat. There is a little football, a little dancing, and a lot of smiling.

16 years and 3 months later

There is that same girl, that same boy, plus two angels...still smiling.

Happy 7 year wedding anniversary, Will. I love you.
