Sandestin Part 3-Hank time

3years, 18months, and 15months

I love the boys getting to spend time with their cousin, Hank. Since he lives in Chicago we got to rendezvous at the beach. The boys played and played and played. So Trey tried to micromanage Robb and Hank a little too much, but in turn Hank got to be in charge of Robb...the pecking order was quite apparent. It is so fun to see the difference in the ways they play each time we are together. Hank thinks Trey is hilarious and wants to do everything he does; just like his own little brother:) No matter how long we are apart the boys fall right back into playing together. We are looking forward to Hank showing us around his town in the fall.

Out takes for group shots...these are three busy boys!!!!

I also LOVED being with Farrell and Craig:)

Sandestin Part 2-playing in the rain

Sandestin in August is HOT.
After breakfast one morning there was a rain storm. No thunder or lightening seemed to be around so that meant strip down and play in the rain. The boys had so much fun running around.

Sandestin Part 1- time with daddy

A whole week off work to spend with us!!!! Will is great about packing everything into vacation while still getting relaxing time. Everyday Will and Trey rode the bike to the beach and pool, where we would play with the boys until we were exhausted and ready for lunch. In the afternoons it was back to pool, going to the Track, or feeding the ducks. We had such a fun time. We are so lucky to have him!!!!

Bath Time

Bath time at our house is quite an event. The boys get out their last bit of energy before bedtime...alright I'll be honest they can be quite wild. After Robb got his ear tubes the nurse was telling Will and I about the plugs he is supposed to wear to keep water out of his ears. She said you probably do not have to use them in the bathtub because he hasn't really gotten to the age of much splashing and getting water everywhere. Will and I could not hold our laughs in. Clearly she has not seen our guys in action. I included two pictures below. Notice all the water being splashed. PS They have gotten surprisingly good at keeping the water in the tub. It is really not the mess that you would think.

Back to the Zoo

With all this heat in Memphis, we have not been to the zoo as much as we usually do. One day there was a slight break in the temperature so we headed that way. Will was able to join us so it was an extra special trip. Since it was still quite warm we hit the highlights: feeding the birds, Teton Trek, and the polar bears to name a few. I must admit the bird area freaks me out a little bit. I do not like the idea of birds being able to freely land on me, but I am trying not to pass on my fear to my children so Trey was all about getting one of the feeding sticks and crawling around the trees to get a bird to land.
And a picture of my favorite guys...

Hilary's lakehouse

We had so much fun on the 4th of July at Hilary's lakehouse (what Trey call Horseshoe Lake). I have over 100 pictures from the weekend so I decided to have a top 10 list of our favorite lake activities.

Top 10 Reasons we love Hilary's lakehouse!!

10.) Beads.

We watched the boat parade from the dock. Trey and Robb are bead magnets, so we caught lots.

9.) Chores

I know this sounds strange, but Bruce gave Trey the responsibility of putting up the silverware after the dishwasher was done. He loved helping out...not sure this will transfer to home.

8.) Fishing

I do not have a picture, but Trey loved going fishing at Bruce's hunting camp with Will and Bruce.

7.) Sleeping on the Boat

I have not met a baby yet who does not fall asleep on the boat. Robb tried to stay awake but slipped into a deep sleep right after this picture was taken.

6.) Driving the Boat

I'm not sure who has more fun on the boat, Bruce or the kids?

5.) Swimming in the lake

4.) Splashing

A baby pool on the dock. You can tell Hilary has done this before...

3.) Tubing

Trey was a little hesitant to jump on the paparazzi tube after watching Bruce throwing people off but once he did it he loved it. (well, he liked it with the potential to love it next time)

2.) Entourage

Trey was surrounded by 6-8 17 year old girls the entire weekend. He affectionately calls them "his girls." What's not to love about that!!

Relaxing

Down on the Farm

Last week we headed to Millington with the Stockburgers to pick peaches and blackberries. After a quick shoe change for Trey-thank you Ms. Jill...we had so much fun. So the peaches were too hard to bring home the kids loved walking through the rows of trees looking for them. And we actually found a few ripe ones. Then we headed to the blackberry bushes. We found lots. Jones Orchard grows things year round, so I know we will go back for other seasons.

And of course our sweet babies were there too...

When we got home Trey and I made a blackberry cobbler. While Robb did not get to participate in the making of the cobbler, he definitely enjoyed the end product.
